In a press conference ahead of the event, Yadav blamed successive governments — both at the Centre and in Delhi — for what he described as the Capital’s deepening unemployment crisis. “There was a time when young people from all over the country would come to Delhi in search of jobs and find gainful employment,” he said. “But now, the youth of Delhi are battling one of the worst unemployment crises in the past 45 years.”

“The previous AAP government did nothing to provide jobs to the youth during 11 years in power, and the Rekha Gupta government of the BJP has only made promises without delivering jobs in the past 100 days,” he alleged.

Youth Congress President Uday Bhanu Chib, who is overseeing the execution of the event, said youth with at least a Class XII qualification are eligible to participate. Of the 20,000 registrations, 10,000 came through online platforms, while the rest were collected through 258 block-level camps set up by the Delhi Congress unit.
